Todo el mundo conoce el mito bíblico de Esaú, que vendió su primogenitura a su hermano Jacob por un plato de lentejas. Más sorprendente resulta el hecho de que un 71% de los profesionales están dispuestos a ceder el password de su PC... por una chocolatina.

Esta noticia tiene en su origen en una encuestra desarrollada en una estación de Liverpool con motivo de la conferencia Infosecurity Europe 2004. Con ser preocupante la anécdota de la chocolatina, otros datos son verdaderamente alarmentes. Entre ellos destacan la poca rubustez criptográfica de las contraseñas, la obviedad de los sitios donde se almacenan y, sobre todo, el grado de publicidad que se da a la misma entre compañeros y colegas.

Sin duda, y pese a las inversiones realizadas, la seguridad sifgue siendo un tema pendiente. Y apenas se valora más que una chocolatina. Que aproveche.
